The Office of Information Technology maintains a university-wide implementation of KACE, a centralized enterprise device management product offered by Dell. Dell/KACE is an all-in-one appliance architecture that is user friendly and quick to deploy. Departmental IT Staff can manage their own organization. OIT provides support and training.
Qualtrics is a web-based survey service that Rutgers subscribes to. Our license agreement allows all faculty, staff and students to use the Qualtrics.
Rutgers Connect is the central email, calendar, and cloud services system for faculty and staff. It is is based on Microsoft's Office 365 suite and is part of the President’s Strategic Plan for Rutgers University.
Rutgers provides computer hardware standards for the purchase of equipment for faculty and staff. These standards are designed to lower hardware costs, maximize interoperability, and lead to efficiencies in technical support.
ScarletApps is the Rutgers implementation of Google Apps for Education. Rutgers has partnered with Google to provide these resources to the Rutgers community.
The University Software Portal is the access point for site licensed and discounted software as well as SSL certificates. The portal application presents a personal view of the software available to the user as determined by his/her role at the University. Users can search by product title, functionality category or by software vendor. Transactions are processed using a standard shopping cart; payment can be made by credit card, check or purchase order. Products offered from major software vendors; Adobe, IBM/SPSS, Microsoft, Qualtrics, SAS, etc. The University's site licensed antivirus software is available through the portal. The University has a site license for security certificates; requests for Comodo SSL certificates are processed through the portal.
