- Click on the Apple Icon on the top left and select System Preferences.
- From the Preferences menu, click Internet Accounts.
- If this is the first account you’re creating in Internet Accounts, click Exchange.
- If you’ve previously created an email account for a different email address, in the lower-left corner of the Accounts dialog box, click + to add an account, and then click Exchange.
- Enter a display name for your account in the Name field, and your NetID@domain.rutgers.edu address in the Email Address field.
- If you are using macOS Catalina or later, you will see a dialogue box asking if you want to use Microsoft to login.
- Choose Sign In and login with your NetID and password. You will now be set up.
If you are using an older version of macOS use the steps below.
- On the Internet Accounts Exchange pane, use the following settings and then click Sign In.
- Name: Your Name
- Email Address Field: Please enter your Sign In address. This will be in the format of netid@domain.rutgers.edu.
- If you would like confirmation on what your Rutgers Connect sign-in information is, visit the NetID Management Page and click Manage Email Addresses. Your sign in name can be found in the Rutgers Connect Account Information section.
- Password: Your Rutgers NetID password.
- Click Done or Sign In to complete the setup.
