  • Mainframe Operating System Upgrade - Sunday 2/14 7:30AM to 11AM

    The Upgrade of the Mainframe Operating System has been successfully completed. All Production services supported by this equipment are available.

    The Office of Information Technology (OIT) will be upgrading our mainframe operating system on Sunday, February 14, 2016, from 7:30 AM to 11 AM.  This is required to keep pace with IT advances, maintain an appropriate security posture, and provide reliable, stable and effective IT services. 

  • Mainframe Users – QWS3270 Secure Setting Changes

    Due to the Infrastructure Equipment Replacement that is taking place on Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 7am to 1pm some QWS3270 Secure users will need to change their settings after the replacement.

  • Replacing Infrastructure Equipment - Migrating Production CAS to new Infrastructure on Tuesday, December 1, 2015

    An infrastructure change for CAS and other OIT services will address newer secure web communication protocols that will be changing on January 1, 2016.

    The Production migration of CAS is scheduled for December 1, 2015 between 2:30 am – 4:30 am EST.  During this time, users accessing services via CAS or Shibboleth will experience intermittent authentication service interruptions.

  • Enterprise Student, Financial and Administrative Services Downtime

    The Office of Information Technology (OIT) will be replacing infrastructure equipment for Production Services Tuesday, December 1, 2015 and Sunday, December 27, 2015. This is required to keep pace with IT advances, maintain an appropriate security posture, and provide reliable, stable and effective IT services.

  • Final Decommissioning of Student Campus Email Services (Eden, Pegasus, and Clam)

    The Office of Information Technology will complete the transition to ScarletApps (Google Apps for Education at Rutgers) and decommission student campus email services on Eden and Pegasus as of November 1, 2014. As of November 1, 2014 all email messages on eden.rutgers.edu and pegasus.rutgers.edu will no longer be available and will be deleted. If you need these email messages please take the time now to migrate all your email messages and contacts off Eden, and Pegasus.

  • Misfiled Messages in ScarletMail (1/29/2014)

    Google has notified us that approximately 1,500 ScarletMail users may have been affected by a recent issue that resulted in some messages being incorrectly placed in the Trash, Spam, or other folders.

    An issue in ScarletMail caused some actions (e.g. deleting, reporting it as spam, starring, archiving, or moving it to a folder) to be incorrectly applied to a different message. The issue occurred between January 15 and January 21, 2014.
