What is happening?
The Office of Information Technology will complete the transition to ScarletApps (Google Apps for Education at Rutgers) and decommission student campus email services on Eden and Pegasus as of November 1, 2014. As of November 1, 2014 all email messages on eden.rutgers.edu and pegasus.rutgers.edu will no longer be available and will be deleted. If you need these email messages please take the time now to migrate all your email messages and contacts off Eden, and Pegasus.
What needs to be done?
Students who currently have email messages on Eden and Pegasus that they wish to keep may use the instructions located at: https://scarletmail.rutgers.edu/docs/ to complete this transition.
(NOTE: Access to old messages on Eden or Pegasus accounts will be turned off entirely on November 1, 2014. Email services for Clam (Camden) accounts will be entirely unavailable as of July 1, 2014.)
What is not changing?
For students requiring other services - such as shell access, programming compilers, web site creation, and departmental and student organizational email services - these will continue to be available on Eden, Pegasus, and Clam after November 1, 2014. Recent graduates will continue to have access to Eden, Pegasus, accounts (with the exception of email) for one year after their graduation date.
If you want your Eden, Pegasus, or Clam account deleted and all its contents erased, please contact the Help Desk on your campus for assistance.
