Information on the Microsoft Windows VPN Client
The Microsoft Windows Operating System has a built in VPN Client
which can be used to connect to the OIT VPN Server. The built in
VPN Client comes with Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, and
Windows XP. The Windows built in VPN client, while it will connect
to the VPN Server does not support encryption.
In order to use the built in Microsoft Windows VPN Client you may
need to install additional software which should be available on
the CD which came with your particular Operating System.
The following documentation is available to assist users with
configuring the VPN client on all supported Microsoft platforms.
NOTE: Use of this client is discouraged because the connection created with the VPN is not secure.
- Configuring the Microsoft VPN Client For Windows 98 (Not Recommended)
- Configuring Windows 2000 to use the VPN (Not Recommended)
- Configuring the Windows Vista VPN Client (Not Recommended)
